SOFIX heading for its second best year in 10 years

The main index on the Bulgarian Stock Exchange, SOFIX, is heading for the second best annual performance in 10 years with a 25% YTD rise. This would be second best annual performance since 2007 after posting a 42.28% y/y rise in 2013.

SOFIX gainers

Top three contributors to this performance in 2016 were Stara Planina Hold, Chimimport and Monbat with a total contribution of 9.84% to the 25% YTD index performance.
All top three contributors added 45%+ to their market value each. One component ended up in negative territory – the construction company Trade Group Hold.
