Monbat’s Board of Directors approved a non-cash recapitalization of the LED lightning manufacturer Octa Light, according to a regulatory filing by the Company. The Group is to make a non cash contribution of receivables of Octagon International Ltd from Octa Light Bulgaria EAD for a total amount of BGN 11.44m acquired under a cession contract dated Sept. 12th, 2017 between Monbat as a cedant and Octa Light Bulgaria EAD as a debtor. As a result, the capital of Octa Light Bulgaria will be increased from BGN 4.6m to BGN 16.04m with Monbat keeping control over the LED producer. The latter has been making losses over the last couple of years and Monbat began a restructuring process in mid 2017.

The generated consolidated profit before taxes of the companies in the economic group of Monbat AD for November, 2017 is BGN 1 239 000 which represents a profit decrease by 75.70 % compared to the generated consolidated profit before taxes for November, 2016.
