Bulgarian consolidated fiscal position in Q1 2015 with first surplus in five years, according to the Finance Ministry’s preliminary data.
The surplus in March totaled BGN 250 mln. (0.3% of the projected GDP) thanks to better revenue collection and more money received from the EU structural funds.
For comparison, the balance as of March 2014 was a deficit of BGN 874.7 million, or 1.1% of GDP, which means we see improvement with 1.4% of GDP.
